Moms, it's up to you....

Next week is moms week for Prop 19. We're asking all our moms to come out loud and stand strong against prohibition.....because it hurts our kids....because it hurts our families.....because it hurts all of us.

Our Alameda Team Coordinator, Ricky, recently sent this email to his mom back in Illinois, asking her to endorse Prop 19. Please consider sending something similar to all the moms you know and telling them to sign up to endorse at http://yeson19.com/endorse/moms/text. And, if you're a mom yourself, don't forget to endorse us too!

Mom,

I'm asking you to join Proposition 19's mothers' coalition to show your support of Prop 19. I know that you recognize the dangers of public policy the way it is now; more families are torn apart every year due to incarceration for cannabis-related "crimes". Every year more mothers suffer because their children are affected by the War on Drugs. There is no reason why we have to fear the same police who are supposed to protect us.

I've told you about Prop 19 before and how it will make California the first state to legalize adult recreational use of marijuana, thereby freeing our law enforcement to focus on preventing violent crimes. You and I both know adults 21 and older are capable of making an informed decision when it comes to using a substance like marijuana, if not for the simple fact that marijuana has been proven to be significantly safer than alcohol or tobacco, both of which are taxed and regulated by the state.

This year we have an opportunity to really make a difference. California voters have put this initiative on the ballot, but that doesn't mean that out-of-state voters can't show their support. When voters and governments of other states realize how wrong the chorus of self-righteous prohibitionists truly are, we will have drastically changed he way things are in this country for a large group of its citizens.

Please help me spread the word about Prop 19 by forwarding this to your friends and by becoming a supporter.

Much love,

Eric
